The ammeter designs for measuring the small current say, I m. The magnitude of the current I passes through the meter is very high, and it will burn the meter. For measuring the current I the shunt is required in the circuit. If it has any appreciable resistance, inserting the ammeter will increase the normal resistance of the circuit and reduce the value of the current flowing through it.

The ammeter will, therefore, give an inaccurate reading under-read. So the ammeter must have a very low resistance so that it has the minimum effect on the normal resistance of the circuit being tested. Ideally, the ammeter should have zero resistance but, of course, this is impossible.

An ammeter measures current in a circuit and high internal resistance would change the circuits current flow. An ammeter must have very low near zero series resistance. A voltmeter, in comparison, must have very high internal resistance.

Make sense? Review time. The meter carries 1 amp it's max current and the shunt carries 9 amps around the meter. That means the shunt has less resistance than the meter so it can carry all that extra current around the meter. How much less is the resistance? That's what will lead us to the answer to the question. We have 0. Focus again. Let's recap. The meter, with an internal resistance of 0. Let's check our work. A max of 1 amp through the meter, whose resistance is 0.

We have the both those bits of data. Let's do the math. And if you were wondering if the second approach could have been used as the primary means of solving the problem, the answer is, "Yes, it can.

Strange for a "shunt". Must be across one heck of a meter movement! It looks like the question was misworded. Instead of 50 megavolts, perhaps it should have been 50 millivolts. In any case, the actual value of the shunt resistor would depend on the impedance of the meter itself. In the latter assumed case, this is probably negligible, so the shunt does appear to be 0.

An ammeter measures current. When you connect an ammeter always in series to the circuit you want to measure the current passing through the circuit. Resistance acts as the driving force in a circuit. Generally the supply is fixed at say V or V, it is the resistance that determines how much current shall be drawn from the source. Now the measurement is influenced by the ammeter resistance. To avoid the error in result an ammeter must have very low ideally zero resistance whereas a voltmeter must have very high resistance ideally infinity.

An ammeter is connected in series in a branch of the circuit carrying current, and measures the current in that branch. The resistance of the meter must be very low If you intentionally insert a resistance in series with the meter, then inserting the meter in a circuit changes the current in that branch.

In general, it's not acceptable for the act of measuring to change the quantity being measured, unless you are closely related to Werner Heisenberg.. I have in the past come across another use case where a partial class was exactly what was needed. There was a particular application class that was undergoing two streams of work. One team of developers was adding new functionality, whilst another team were performing heavy refactoring to the existing code.

Without careful management there was likely to be complex merge issues. The use of a partial class in this case was an elegantly simple solution. By temporarily splitting the class into two partial class files both teams were able to work fairly independently. Once the first team had finished the two files were recombined. A partial class splits the definition of a class over two or more source.

You can create a class definition in multiple physical files but it will be compiled as one class when the calsses are compiled. Suppose you have a "Person" class. That definition is divided into the two physical source files, Person1. Then these two files have a class that is a partial class. You compile the source code then create in a single class. Let's see that in Figure 1.

For instance, you can see the "Add" method belongs to "customer1. Fundamentals of partial methods There is one more important concept in partial classes called partial methods. Partial methods help us to define a method definition in one of the physical files and we can implement that method in the other physical files as shown in the following figure. In the following figure, you can see we have defined the "Validate" method in "Customer1.

Seventy-two translators were sent by the high priest in Jerusalem to Ptolemy along with Torah scrolls from the Temple. After a fruitful meeting with the king, the translators were escorted off to comfortable quarters on an island.

Seventy-two days later the translators emerged with their work, which was completely without error and in total agreement. The Jewish people in the area rejoiced and accepted it as divine scripture, and the translators were sent home bearing gifts.

Demetrius, the chief librarian, had been banished two years before the events, although Swete thinks he may have still influenced the decision prior to his departure. In light of this and other questions, many scholars today believe that Aristeas is extremely unreliable, 21 due to historical inaccuracies and the apologetic nature of the letter.

Responses to the charges of inaccuracy and unreliability have been answered in a number of ways. First, it is evident that Ptolemy wished to include in the royal library at Alexandria copies of all the books known to the world. Although there are strong arguments in favor of attributing various levels of historical reliability to Aristeas, the evidence should be secondary to a primary reliance upon the LXX itself.

He begins with internal evidence in the actual text of the LXX, 27 and then considers evidence from Aristeas and other external sources. The motivation for diaspora Jews to have the scriptures in their vernacular was strong.

The situations that arose from the Babylonian exile on, required the practice of Targum. Collins, however, sharply disputes the theory of Jewish demand. The shape in which the original translation of the Septuagint took form, is another debated issue.

Were there more versions circulating prior to the establishment of the text as we now have it, or did the Septuagint originate in one version? Kahle agreed with most scholars that the translation of the Pentateuch originated in Alexandria but that the historicity of Aristeas was flawed.
