Off the top of my head, a few things you can do to counter a split second spell is Counterbalance , Ice Cave , Voidmage Apprentice , Nether Void , Chalice of the Void , and if you're feeling adventurous, Cephalid Shrine. Willbender 's also good against targeted split second spells.
And now I really wish Void could be used to counter them. I guess I'll just have to settle for pre-emptively discarding them.
